For we are the 99%

For those people who have no idea about the event yet (Kind of impossible), here is some brief introduction to this event from Wikipedia: Occupy Wall Street is an ongoing series of demonstrations in New York City based in Zuccoti Park, formerly "Liberty Plaza Park". The participants of the event are protesting against social and economic inequality, corporate greed and the influence of corporate money and lobbyists on government, among other concerns. By October 9, similar demonstrations had been held or were ongoing in 70 major cities and more than 600 communities.

The root of this movement is the financial crisis which has been impacted The whole America for more than three years. The worst part is that the Financial executives who ran the collapse of the institutions has yielded untold financial pain do not get the according punishment while still get High dividends from their products bought by ordinary people. That is just the 1% persons taking the other 99% peoples’ wealth.

These pictures show directly the anger and the dissatisfaction of people from all over the world.:

Women are not considered as the weak who passively accept the result any more, they stand out for the half of the world as a portion of the 99%.

Language is not just a tool but a weapon to show that no matter what races we are, we are here as human beings pursuing for same rights and treats as a portion of the 99%.

Distance is not a block because of the globalization. We are experiencing the same situation now, no matter severe or mild. If the democracy still exists, the majority rules should work for that we are just the 99% of the world.

We never want something violent, like injury or death. But we never imagine that we are sacrificing ourselves by checks, which we use in our everyday life. Just like the picture shows, we paid with no benefits back as you promised, the 1% top "financial talents". Who do you think you are, running around leaving scars.

So here we are, as male and female, as the senior and the young, as black white or orient made. We do not hold the wish or the hope with us but the desire! The desire to make improvement, to get back what belongs to us, for we are the 99%.

As to the 1%, please take good care of your jar of hearts. Don't come back for me, don't come back at all! Who do you think you are!

  1. very nice! i like how you added a poetic tone to your post. This is what i posted about as well accept i touched on how the media portrays the typical protester. Fox news seems to be the main media head who has an issue with this movement. They classify everyone as being jobless and stinky like hippies. well its now happening in other countries, like Japan and areas of South America. HA! take that fox. This movement is for sure one that isn't selective to any country, race, economy or gender. Different areas contain different homogeneous reasons to protest. But the one thing in common is that people are fed up and want the 1% to known about it. If you interested here is a link to the propaganda machine fox news
