New Definition of Virgin
A new show on TLC gives us a whole new perspective into the world of couples and relationships. "The Virgin Diaries" is a documentary of sorts that tells the stories of virgins around the country and what life without sex has been like for them. Like most people, these documentarians are virgins simply for the fact that they are waiting to share that special moment with the right person, specifically on their wedding night. But as I found out by watching the first episode that is not always the case. The couple that stands out to me is a couple late in the 20's who are waiting for their wedding night to have sex but they are also waiting to have their first kiss during that fateful moment when the priest says "you may now kiss the bride". I commend them for waiting to have sex for when it means the most, but I personally could not wait for my first kiss. Also you get to witness their first kiss and it actually looks like they are trying to eat each other's face. At this point I somewhat believe this is taking being a virgin too far. When you find that special someone, you still want to be close and intimate with them and that's why you should get to be able to experience kissing and all things of that nature. I know some people might see this as a fantastic idea and want to wait for marriage but you should also take into account that you want new ways to show love to each other every day and shouldn't be confined to specific rules.

I definitely see your point. I personally believe that physical intimacy is another very important aspect of loving someone. It is hard for me to imagine marrying someone I've never even kissed, without feeling like there is a whole other part of them I don't know. Especially after watching this preview, it is obvious TLC's comical intent with that scene. But once again, everyone is entitled to their own opinions. It is impossible to define love, so if there decision made them happy, more power to them!
