Firstly in a country where rights are equal and people are free, females feel that they have the choice to decide if they want an abortion or not. Who's to say we get to decide whether she can or can't have that abortion. What if by having the child a person is constantly reminded of how it was not her choice to have a child or even her choice to have sex? What if she had been raped and was forced to carry the burden of having a strangers child? Many times a child will be born into poverty. What if a single mother doesn't want the burden of having a child to care for, because if she does that child would only live a struggling life with no father. One could say then stop having sex. But who can tell one to do or not do something that maybe they enjoy or is the only positive thing in their life.
There are many reason for why one would choose to have an abortion but those with the subculture of pro-life only think about the potential child and not the situation. Although one could give a child up for adoption, the person still has to go through the pregnancy and that in itself is a burden of its own.

Just because because one chooses abortion doesn't make her unfitting to be a mother. Or it doesn't make her an evil and a selfish person. More often than not there is a story a reason for every valid choice a person in this situation has to make. Whether she is pro this or pro that shouldn't matter the only thing that matters is that we the people around the person respect her decision, whether it is right or wrong, it is under her circumstances that she has to make a decision. Think about it put yourself in her shoes.
I wish your last statement "put yourself in her shoes" was followed more. If more people took the time of day just to imagine themselves in someone else's position there wouldn't be as much conflict and hate in this world. Regarding your topic, I am completely pro choice. I don't think anyone has the right to tell me or anyone else what they can or can't do to their body. Like you said we are a country based on freedom so why can the choice to have an abortion be a freedom? No one knows what it is like to be put into a position where you are faced with a decision as big as an abortion. People need to spend less time worrying about what other people are doing and worry more about themselves.
